The Hong Kong Medical Association- Community Health Academy for Elderly

The Project, through its two cores "Health Academy for the Elderly" and "Outreach Team for the Elderly", adopts a model that integrates medical, social, non-governmental, educational, commercial and housing sectors to build up cognitive, health and social capitals in Kwai Chung district, with an aim to enhance the health management ability and strengthen social networks of the elderly. The Project also puts effort in building networks and mutual care in the neighborhood, and to intensify the supportive web for the carers. Another module of the Project, the "Doctors-Units Instant Link Scheme" aims at strengthening medical-social collaboration and improving the elderly health care services in Kwai Chung district.

The Spring Festival Fun Fair for Kwai Tsui Estate Date: 17 February 2019 (Sunday) Time: 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. Location: Badminton Court, Kwai Tsui Estate, Kwai Fong The Spring Festival Fun Fair for Kwai Tsui Estate, organized by HKSKH Lady MacLehose Centre and supported by the Social Welfare Department, was successfully held on Sunday, 17 February 2019 at Kwai Tsui Estate in Kwai Fong. The Hong Kong Medical Association was one of the co-organizers of the programme to welcome and celebrate the Chinese New Year with the new residents of Kwai Tsui Estate. Response from the residents of Kwai Tsui Estate was encouraging, more than 300 residents participated in our health educational game booth.
